Margaret Spartz,
MD, MPH, RPVI
Dr Margaret Spartz is uniquely qualified Minneapolis vein doctor, who cares for venous disease at all stages of progression. She has trained with leading experts in the field and used her skills for treating venous disease while on humanitarian medical mission trips to Honduras. She has seen the devastating effects of venous disease on everyday life and the activity limiting impact it can have on her patients. She is known as a compassionate doctor who genuinely listens to her patients. She regularly helps her patients make medically responsible and evidence based choices through shared decision making.
Dr Spartz graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, IN. She went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed residency during which she received her Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and served as the Chief Resident. She has shown a continued interest in global health and wellness throughout her career. She completed an extended rotation during medical school in Chiang Mai, Thailand in the Community Medicine department. She also conducted research in China for her Master's thesis.
Dr Spartz is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. She is credentialed as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation through the Alliance of Physician Certification and Advancement She is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the American College of Preventive Medicine and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Heather
MSN, APRN, CNP
Heather completed her undergraduate degree at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into her nursing school’s chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, an international nursing honors society. Heather also competed on the school’s women’s tennis team during these 4 years. After graduation, she worked on a cardiovascular medical/surgical unit in Sioux Falls for one year. She then moved back to Minnesota and worked in an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic for 5 years. Heather earned her family nurse practitioner degree from Minnesota State University Mankato. She has been working at Spartz Vein Clinic since becoming a family nurse practitioner.
Heather lives in the western suburbs with her husband, sons, and dog. She enjoys spending her free time with family, traveling, and enjoying a hot cup of coffee.
Katie
PA-C
Katie brings nearly a decade of specialized wound care experience to our clinic, helping patients heal with precision, empathy, and expertise. Katie earned her Master of Medical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ and began her career in dermatology before discovering her true calling in wound care. Today, she’s a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management and a passionate lifelong learner. Whether it’s through continuing education courses or staying current on the latest evidence-based practices, Katie is always seeking new ways to elevate the care she delivers. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys sewing, staying active through regular exercise, and finding balance between family, hobbies, and her professional growth.
Marisa
RVT
Marisa has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UW-Madison and her associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Argosy University. She has worked in the vein industry since 2014 and is truly passionate about her work. Her laughter and positive attitude makes everyone feel welcome and cared for during their appointments. Marisa joined the Spartz Vein Clinic team in 2016 and is considered an expert in her field of venous sonography.
Marisa is married to Dan and they have 3 boys. During her free time, Marisa is in her back yard on the pickle ball court or with her family and their busy hockey schedules.
Jayden
RVT
Jayden is a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) who brings energy, sharp skills, and a compassionate approach to every patient scan. Originally from Sioux Falls, SD, she earned her associate’s degree in Vascular Sonography from Southeast Technical College. Before joining Spartz Vein Clinic, Jayden worked as an RVT at Mayo Clinic Hospital, gaining valuable experience in one of the nation’s top healthcare systems. Her attention to detail and calm, professional presence help our patients feel at ease during every ultrasound. When she’s not in the clinic, Jayden enjoys traveling, hiking, playing volleyball, and spending quality time with her boyfriend and family. She also has a serious sweet tooth and can’t resist anything with dark chocolate!

Receptionist
If you’ve visited our Eagan location, chances are you’ve been welcomed by Jen’s warm smile and capable presence. As our receptionist at the Eagan clinic, Jen is often the first point of contact for patients—and she excels at making everyone feel at ease. Jen is also a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, a testament to her well-rounded knowledge of clinic operations and commitment to excellence in patient service. When she’s not holding down the fort at Spartz Vein Clinic, Jen enjoys a wide range of hobbies that reflect her creative and adventurous spirit—gardening, hiking, kayaking, cooking, and solving puzzles. She’s also a talented musician who finds joy in playing the piano and guitar.

Originally from beautiful South Africa, Marianne brings a warm, customer-focused approach to her role as Billing Specialist at Spartz Vein Clinic. With 6 years of experience in hospitality management, she’s no stranger to providing exceptional service with grace and efficiency. Whether she’s navigating insurance claims or helping patients understand their statements, Marianne brings clarity and care to every interaction. Outside the clinic, she enjoys the challenge of puzzles and finds joy in exploring scenic nature and wildlife—a nod to her South African roots and love for the outdoors.
